The CAST 630V Tinned Copper combines Duelund's proprietary casting process with the celebrated tinned copper foil that has redefined what builders expect from a coupling capacitor in the signal path. Construction Tinned copper foil and high-density paper dielectric, wound in a cylindrical form and subjected to Duelund's proprietary WPIO (Wax-Paper Impregnated in Oil) treatment — multi-day high-pressure impregnation that yields exceptional mechanical damping. A ring of hard-pressed paper around the cast body further reinforces the damping and gives the CAST its distinctive cylindrical form factor. Lead-outs are Duelund's own DCA16GA tinned copper tone wire — the same cable that established Duelund's reputation among builders chasing vintage Western Electric tonality, used here as the integral termination of the capacitor itself. The outer lead is connected to the outer foil and should be oriented toward the lowest-impedance path to ground in your circuit.
