The result is a capacitor with a unique sonic signature — the natural musicality and tonal weight of copper, refined by the slightly softer, more relaxed character that tin plating brings to the conductor surface.ConstructionThe capacitor is built around Duelund's flat-form Virtual Stack Foil topology, but in place of pure copper the conductor is high-purity copper foil with a tin coating applied to the surface. This is the same conductor philosophy behind the renowned Duelund tinned copper internal wiring, and it carries a comparable sonic footprint into the capacitor itself.The tinned copper foil is paired with high-density paper dielectric, vacuum-impregnated with pure mineral wax, and finished with the Black Series outer damping treatment that distinguishes the current generation from the original VSF range. The flat geometry yields very low parasitic inductance and a mechanically rigid form, free of the internal microphony that plagues conventional cylindrical windings.Lead-outs are 1mm tinned copper.
